How to install IPTV on the Amazon Fire TV Stick

The Amazon Fire TV Stick is one of the easiest ways to watch IPTV on a regular TV. You plug it into an HDMI port, connect it to your Wi-Fi and install an IPTV app. In this guide you’ll read how to put IPTV on the Fire TV Stick, and how to keep the picture stable afterwards.

What do you need?

• An Amazon Fire TV Stick (or Fire TV Cube) that is already set up
• An Amazon account

Step by step

1. Open the home screen of your Fire TV Stick and go to search or the Appstore.
2. Look for an IPTV player that supports Xtream Codes, such as IPTV Smarters Pro if it’s available. Not sure which one? Ask us on WhatsApp.
3. Install the app and open it.
4. Choose to log in with Xtream Codes API.
5. Enter your details: any name, your username, password and the server URL. Watch out for capitals.
6. Wait until the channels have loaded and choose Live TV.

Keeping the picture stable

The Fire TV Stick works over Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi is the most common cause of freezing. A few tips:

• Use 5 GHz. If your router broadcasts both 2.4 and 5 GHz, choose the 5 GHz network. It’s faster, though it reaches less far.
• Get the stick out from behind the TV. With the HDMI extender in the box, the stick sits further from the metal of the TV, which improves the signal.
• Consider an Ethernet adapter. There are adapters for the Fire TV Stick that let you plug in a network cable. That’s the most stable option.
• Restart now and then. Hold the select and play buttons for a few seconds to restart the stick.
