IPTV on a Smart TV: Samsung, LG and Android TV

With a Smart TV you often don’t need any extra device to watch IPTV: an app is enough. But not every Smart TV is the same. Below you’ll read how it works on the most common brands and what to do if it doesn’t.

Which system does your TV have?

Most Smart TVs run one of these systems:

A TV with Android TV or Google TV gives you the most choice: you just install an IPTV player from Google Play, like on an Android phone. On Samsung and LG the choice is smaller and depends on the model.

Install and log in

1. Open your TV’s app store.
2. Look for an IPTV player that supports Xtream Codes or M3U.
3. Install and open the app.
4. Log in with the details we send you: username, password and server URL.
5. Wait until the channels and the TV guide have loaded.

Some players on Samsung and LG work with an activation code or a device ID (a MAC address) that you have to link first. If you see such a code, send us a photo on WhatsApp and we’ll help you further.

No app found? Here’s the fix

Tips for the best picture

• Connect the TV with a network cable if you can.
• Set the picture mode to “Movie” or “Standard” instead of “Vivid”.
